Beautiful Fonts for Minimal & Modern Brands

Choosing the right typeface that aligns with your vision and sets your brand apart from the competition, isn’t always easy. Finding a font that matches your brand character and aesthetic is so important. In this post, I will share some of the best fonts for minimal & modern brands.

Tan-Mon Cheri

Tan Mon Cheri is an elegant sans serif font that I recently discovered on Creative Market. It was created in November 2020, making it fairly new. As soon as I saw it, I fell in love. It’s minimal, clean, modern, and beautifully displayed. Best known for its simple letter shapes with playful ligatures, keeping its legibility high. This is a font that is very distinct and memorable. This font is ideal for logo marks, headings, posters, and typography design. You can purchase this font here.

Modern Minerva - Regular

Modern Minerva is a beautiful modern sans serif typeface. It comes in 6 different weights: Regular, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic, Black, and black italic. This font is very special to me because it was my primary font for headings when I first created my brand. I love this font because it’s easy to read, simple, and beautiful. Modern Minerva has become one of the largest independent sources for new and innovative fonts, with a dedication to the broader integration of typography with graphic design, fine art, and popular visual culture. I think this is an excellent font to use if your brand is modern, elegant, and minimalistic. This font also pairs very well with other typefaces, which can come in handy. It’s also available in Adobe Fonts and Squarespace.

Mostra Nuova - Thin, Light

Mostra Nuova is an Adobe Font, based on a style of lettering seen on Italian Art Deco posters and advertising of the 1930s. It can be used for logos, headlines, product branding, marketing collateral, presentations, websites, and any graphic design. Mostra Nuova falls under the classification (or typeface) of Sans Serif and features 6 different weights: Thin, Light, Regular, Bold, Heavy, Black. However, to create a modern & minimal feeling, I recommend using either thin or light. If you have Adobe Creative Cloud, you can activate and use this font for free. Otherwise, if you do not have an adobe account, you can purchase it directly from the designer.

Afrah - Thin, Light

Afrah is a beautiful serif font that comes with 5 different weights. It can be used for headlines, posters, branding, packaging, presentations, logo, quotes, titles, magazines headings, web layouts, advertising, invitations, packaging design, books, and nearly any creative design. However, for modern & minimal brands, I recommend using either thin or light weights with this font. I like this font because it’s simple yet naturally beautiful. It can make any headline or text just look pleasant. You can purchase this font here.

Freight BigPro - Light, light italic, book, book italic.

Freight is a beautiful font that comes in a whopping 72 different weights and styles! Each weight is very versatile with many different versions available. With so many different styles available, this font is suitable for almost any type of aesthetic and typographic challenges. It’s classified as a serif typeface. For minimal & modern branding, I recommend using FreightBig Pro Light, Light Italic, Book, and Book Italic. Freight is also available on Adobe Fonts and Squarespace.
