How I Grew My Pinterest from Zero to 400k+ Monthly Views

Have you ever come across those blog posts or reels with click-bait headlines, claiming to reveal the secrets of overnight success? Most often, it seems too good to be true.
Success doesn't come that easily, right? Well, I'm here to tell you that yes, it is possible.

I went from zero to one million views. And here's the kicker – I did it without spending a dime and with minimal effort.

And the best part? I didn't need a fancy marketing strategy, a planned content calendar, a legion of followers, or a single paid ad.
Since 2021, my monthly Pinterest views have consistently exceeded 400k. This has led to a doubling of website traffic, a significant increase in leads (with Pinterest as my main source of new clients), and a substantial boost in income for my agency.
To give you an idea, here are my analytics from the past 90 days.

OK, SO HOW DID I DO IT

Organic Content

As a graphic designer, most of the content I post on social media is my own work. My top performing pins based on analytics are the ones I created myself. This type of organic content ranges from business card designs, to website design mockups, brand identity concepts, logo designs, and any form of creative collateral.

Authentic

Pinterest is an incredible source of inspiration with a wide range of categories. As an organic content creator, my focus is on sharing material that aligns with my brand, vision, and personal style. One of my pins, which gained popularity two years ago, featured a color palette that perfectly captured my preferred tones, hues, shades, and moods. This graphic not only represented my personal and professional identity, but also showcased the essence of my brand—from the heart and soul! Being authentic is what will set you apart in the long-run.

Versatile

Sharing versatile content is just as important. When people encounter my brand, visit my website, or collaborate with me, they experience a specific aesthetic and emotions. However, it's not these emotions that make them want to work with me. It's the experience I provide my clients from start to finish.
I approach each new project as if it were my own brand, while still staying true to my clients' vision. People choose to work with me because they appreciate what they see and because I apply my expertise and creativity in a way that reflects their unique style, effectively engaging with their target audience. This is the magic of branding.

Niche

Without even realizing it, I had created content that spoke to a specific “niche”. I’ve managed to attract hundreds of thousands of people from different parts of the world.
Unknowingly, I made content that appealed to a specific group of people-by being true to myself. My unique style and preferences define my target audience, which has always been the case.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the best advice I can give to anyone whose trying to gain brand recognition, attract more customers, and increase online traffic is to: SHARE YOUR WORK!
Your Social Media Engagement is more important than the number of followers you have.
The pins that went viral were the ones I created effortlessly, for myself—without expecting anything from it. It wasn’t anything extraordinary, it was a simple graphic designed from the heart that happened to touch and resonate with millions of people. That single pin, took my business to the next level. Since then, I have not stopped sharing my work. You never know.
